Faculty Fellows

Faculty Fellows play a crucial role in facilitating and enhancing high-caliber human rights research at UNL while creating opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations. They convene a weekly reading and writing group and work collaboratively to establish a common theme that reflects the group’s shared interests, curate a shared reading list to introduce the others to key works in their area and engage in peer review of each other’s work.

In addition to providing time and support for the Fellows’ projects throughout the academic year, they have the opportunity for additional research support to advance collaborative projects, which can include symposia, guest speakers, and grant proposals, among other activities.

During their fellowship, Faculty Fellows are expected to produce innovative research related to human rights, which can include, research articles, book manuscripts, creative projects, and the production of new datasets.

Teaching Fellows

The HRHA Teaching Fellows Program aims to enhance human rights education and advance research related to human rights pedagogy on the UNL campus.  HRHA launched this funding initiative in 2023 to support course improvement work and promote scholarship in the field of human rights education.
