Professor Sociology and Women's & Gender Studies

Dr. Emily Kazyak is a Professor of Sociology and Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Kazyak received her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Michigan. Her research examines sexuality in American culture, politics, and law. 

Dr. Emily Kazyak's current research includes two projects, both of which are funded by the National Science Foundation. The first project examines American public opinion of religious freedom laws that reference LGBTQ people. The second project examines the intergenerational family relationships of LGBQ people.
